About Terrace Club

The Terrace Club is set against beautiful Lake Mahopac, a hidden gem that Mahopacian's hold close to their hearts. The lake is for many the reason why they are here and why they stay. The location is a definite attraction that most flock to in warmer months. The potential of it's location was the reason why Amie decided to open The Terrace Club, and would not have opened it anywhere but here.

The Terrace Club's name (inspired by two outdoor terrace's) and design is modeled after the supper clubs of the 1940's. Features like dark wood, crystal chandeliers and copper tiling are purposely placed to appeal to both male and females. A little something for everyone was Amie's vision. Along with her partner/chef Kenny Breiman, they strongly felt that the area was in need of it's own upscale restaurant. Both residents themselves they collaborated to give Mahopac an upscale, review worthy yet fairly priced menu that fulfilled the need in the area.

Don't expect white glove arrogance here. Although the food is worthy and the decor sophisticated Amie and Kenny purposely played with ironies. The popcorn and brown craft paper on each table keep it casual. Knowing most customers by name make it "Neighborly".

The Terrace Club is open all year and encourage people to see the lake for it's beauty through all seasons.

Amie Cunningham-The Terrace Club was Amie's vision. It's style, from it's decor to the swing music that plays she felt that people would come for atmosphere as much as they would for the food. With her backround in high end retail she strongly believes in knowing her customers and making them feel at home. Most nights Amie is there to greet you at the door, ensure your service is delightful and that her staff is smiling with her.

Kenneth Breiman- As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Kenny has over 25 years in the business. Prior to becomming a partner with Amie, he had most recently been the executive chef at X20 in Yonkers, one of Peter Kelly's highly acclaimed restaurants. Kenny's expertise in the kitchen has not gone unnoticed. He has a following that remains loyal and critics that are interested. He loves to play with the unexpected and believes dining should be an experience for the pallate. "Try something you never tried before" he says, "that's why I love doing what I do, to open minds with the mouth!"

Kim Breiman
-(yes there are two here): Deservingly so, Kim has made her own name prior to The Terrace Club. Holding a degree as a pastry chef Kim is no novice in the business. In fact Kim and Kenny met in the kitchen while working together! Kim does all of our desserts at The Terrace Club and everything is made on premise. Along with her resposibilites here, she also has 3 young boys who inspired her to open her own business, which encourages kids to get involved in the kitchen. Her website is www.bonappetot.com.
